The Five Dragons Pond is located in the west of Jinan, Shandong Province. It is also known as Wulong Pond, Longju Spring. The Jin "Famous Spring Tablet" located here described the gray bay spring. It is located in the north of the Luoyuan Bridge, 100 meters east from the moat. The pool is built with stones and is rectangle in shape. The length is 70 meters and the width is 35 meters with the water depth of 4 meters. The pool's water gage is 25.80 meters and it wells up water from year to year. They are the five sons of the dragon king to guard the place; hence the place was named as Five Dragons Pond. The water temperature is about 18 ¡æ It steams here during the deep winter. There are several red fishes in the pool, where the length is several feet and the thickness like barrel. The year from which the breed was reared is unknown.
